Rattan is a natural material which is resilient and flexible. It also happens to be one of the most sustainable products on the planet!
The rattan vine grows naturally without interrupting the present structure and balance of the rainforest. Rattan is the fastest developing tropical wood and an exceptionally sustainable material, renewing in only 5-7 years.
This piece has been handcrafted by one of our Vast Masters, these individual cabinet makers have been manufacturing Vast products for over a decade. Using traditional joinery techniques to maximise the materials natural beauty is a big part of the unique look of each Vast product.
