Likewise, by placing an order or making a purchase in-store, you are deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions as they apply to all sales, whether online or in person. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms and Conditions, you should not use this website or proceed with a purchase in-store.
Use of Vast Furniture Online Ordering System:
By using the Site, you warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the authority to place an order through the Site. We accept no responsibility for any loss, damage, or unauthorised transactions that may occur as a result of you disclosing your password or login details to third parties.
In using the Site, you agree not to use it for commercial purposes, not to re-sell any products to a third party or for trade purposes, and not to log in with credentials belonging to another party unless expressly authorised by them. You also agree not to use the Site for any unlawful purposes, not to copy or reproduce any content without our authorisation, and not to disrupt, damage, or compromise the security of the system.
Pricing:
We may update or amend prices displayed online or in-store if errors are identified, and any orders placed with incorrect pricing or incomplete product details may be refused or cancelled. This includes situations where pricing is being updated during sales or promotional changeovers. Please note that pricing may differ between our website and physical stores, with store pricing taking priority. The term ticketed price refers to the regular price of a product before any discounts or promotional reductions are applied. All discounts are calculated from the full ticketed price, and products may have previously been available at prices lower than the current ticketed price. We reserve the right to adjust or correct pricing errors at any stage. All prices shown on our website include applicable GST and taxes, unless otherwise stated. Prices will become fixed upon Order confirmation, and any subsequent price changes will not be applied retrospectively to the Order.
In-store Clearance stock:
Clearance items are available in-store only and are sold in their current condition (as is). No warranties, guarantees, or after-sales services apply to clearance products. Once purchased, clearance items cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded. Quantities are limited, and availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. Prices are final and no further discounts, promotions, finance options, or Qantas Points apply. Payment must be made by cash or card only. Delivery services may be restricted and are subject to availability at an additional cost.
Delays to ETAs & lead times
Estimated delivery or arrival times are provided as a guide only and may vary. These timeframes are outside of our control and can be affected by supplier delays, shipping issues, or unforeseen events. Because of this, changes to lead times do not qualify for a refund. If an order is delayed by more than three months beyond the original estimated date, customers may choose to cancel and receive either a store credit for the full amount paid or exchange the order for another product of equal value. Where the replacement product is of lower value, the balance will be issued as a store credit.
Natural Product Variation
Many of our pieces are crafted from natural materials such as solid timber, leather, stone, and marble, with a strong focus on recycled and reclaimed timbers. This ensures every item is one of a kind. Variations in colour, grain, texture, knots, veins, scars, or surface markings are natural characteristics of these materials and are not considered faults. These distinctive features are part of the beauty and authenticity of natural and reclaimed furniture. Due to unique timber & textiles being used along with handmade manufacturing some products will vary from the product images used on our website.
With age, natural timbers may experience subtle changes in colouring, influenced by factors such as sunlight exposure and the environment in which they are placed. This natural evolution adds to the uniqueness and character of your piece. If the exact shade, finish, or grain pattern is important to you, we recommend viewing the product in person prior to purchase or delivery. Refunds will not be provided for dissatisfaction with the natural variations of your item, and any exchanges requested for this reason may incur additional costs. Thrive Capital Group Pty Ltd, trading as Vast Furniture will not be liable for any product that varies in any way from the images or descriptions used on the Site.
Delivery:
Customers must provide clear and unobstructed access area for the delivery of goods. Difficult access requires prior notice as additional delivery personnel may be required, and additional delivery charges may result. Our personnel will always be diligent and careful but cannot be responsible for any accidental damage that may occur during the delivery process. Customers are responsible for the selected goods fitting into the intended area of the building.
All online orders include a delivery service, which is separate from the supply of the products themselves. Our responsibility is limited to arranging dispatch of your order with a third-party carrier and providing any delivery instructions supplied at the time of purchase. The delivery service is deemed complete once your order has been dispatched. Delivery fees are non-refundable once dispatch has occurred. Custom-made:
All custom-made and special-order products require a 50% deposit at the time of purchase. Once the manufacturing process has commenced, these orders cannot be altered, cancelled, or refunded. As these pieces are specifically made to order, the deposit is non-refundable, and the remaining balance must be paid in full prior to delivery or collection.
Lead times provided at the time of ordering are estimates only and may be subject to change due to factors outside our control, including supplier or shipping delays. Variations in colour, grain, texture, and finish may occur, particularly with natural, recycled, or reclaimed materials. These variations are considered normal and are part of the uniqueness of your custom product. Slight differences between floor samples, swatches, or images and the finished item may be expected. A cancellation charge of 25% is applicable on the total price.
Orders:
An order is created once checkout has been successfully completed on our website and you receive an email confirmation containing your order number. By placing an order, you are making an offer to Thrive Capital Group Pty Ltd, trading as Vast Furniture, to purchase the selected products under these Terms and Conditions. It is your responsibility to ensure all details provided, including contact, delivery, and payment information, are accurate and up to date, and that the nominated email address and mobile number are regularly monitored for correspondence from us. We reserve the right to accept or reject any order, prior to dispatch, at our sole discretion, including in cases where a product is unavailable, there is a pricing or listing error, or an error has occurred in your order. Each order we accept forms a binding agreement between you and Vast Furniture for the supply of the specified products. Should we reject an order, we will contact you and arrange, at our discretion, a refund, store credit, or replacement, with confirmation of the cancellation provided via email. Vast Furniture accepts no liability for orders placed on products that are out of stock; in such cases, we will notify you promptly once identified and arrange either a refund, store credit, or replacement.
Payment:
We accept payment by Visa and MasterCard credit or debit cards. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, full payment for all products is required at the time of purchase. If, for any reason, payment is declined, reversed, or not received in full, you agree to settle the outstanding balance immediately upon request from Vast Furniture.
Layby:
Non - payment of any of the instalments as indicated below will be in breach of the layby agreement and the retailer may cancel the layby giving the customer at least 14 days written notice of the breach. In such case the notice will be posted to the customer’s last known address. If the customer has not made further payment within 14 days the customer will be deemed to have cancelled the lay by. The customer will forfeit the goods and incur the cancellation charge as set out above and any remaining sum will be reimbursed to the customer.

- Lay by length is usually 3 months unless by prior arrangement
- 50% deposit is required on all lay by goods
- Goods cannot be separated and must be paid in full prior to delivery
- Payments can be made via credit card over the phone, in person or by direct deposit.
- A cancellation fee of 25% will apply.
Refunds, Repairs & Returns:
Thrive Capital Group Pty Ltd, trading as Vast Furniture, does not accept returns or provide refunds for change of mind. This includes circumstances where you decide you no longer want the product, find it at a lower price elsewhere, feel it does not suit your space, or otherwise have no further use for it. Refunds, repairs, or replacements will only be provided in accordance with your rights under Australian Consumer Law for faulty, defective, or misdescribed products. Where a product issue arises, we reserve the right to first assess the item and, at our discretion, organise a repair, replacement, or store credit where applicable.
Warranty:
Thrive Capital Group Pty Ltd, trading as Vast Furniture, guarantees to repair or replace any product that has a manufacturing or material defect within the applicable warranty period. Our lounges in leather, fabric, or synthetic upholstery include a three- to five-year frame warranty (depending on the model), while all other products — including sofa bed and recliner mechanisms, sleeper mattresses, upholstery, and cushioning — carry a one-year warranty. Warranty periods commence on the date of purchase and apply only to defects that are not the result of normal wear and tear, the natural characteristics of the materials used, or misuse of the product. This warranty does not cover items purchased as seconds, repaired goods, or products with defects disclosed prior to sale unless otherwise agreed. Proof of purchase, such as a receipt or tax invoice, must be provided to validate any warranty claim. The warranty will be void if the product is serviced by an unauthorised provider, not maintained in accordance with care instructions, misused, abused, dropped, exposed to extreme conditions, modified, connected to an incorrect power source, used with unsuitable accessories, or if the product’s serial number has been removed or altered.
Application for Australian Consumer Law:
These Terms and Conditions are subject to the Australian Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Australian Consumer Law), which requires that goods must be: (a) reasonably fit for any disclosed purpose; (b) reasonably fit for any purpose that we represent; (c) fit for all purposes for which goods of that kind are commonly supplied; and (d) acceptable in appearance, free from defects, safe, and durable.
In the case of a major failure (including damage during shipping), you are entitled to: (a) reject the product and receive a refund; (b) reject the product and receive an identical replacement, or one of similar value if reasonably available; or (c) retain the product and receive compensation for the reduction in value caused by the major failure.
For a minor failure, you are entitled to have the product repaired free of charge within a reasonable time. If the repair is not completed within a reasonable timeframe, or the issue is not resolved, you may request a refund, exchange, or choose to repair the product yourself and recover the reasonable costs from Thrive Capital Group Pty Ltd, trading as Vast Furniture.
Subject to the above, and to the extent permitted by law, all other warranties, conditions, and terms — whether expressed or implied by statute, custom, or common law — are excluded. Furthermore, to the extent permitted by law, Vast Furniture reserves the right to limit its liability for any breach of a guarantee, condition, or warranty implied by statute.
Intellectual Property
Unless expressly permitted, all intellectual property displayed on this website is the property of Thrive Capital Group Pty Ltd, trading as Vast Furniture. You may not reproduce, adapt, modify, display, perform, or distribute any material from the site without our prior written consent. You are, however, permitted to store or print material from the site solely for the purpose of viewing products or completing a purchase.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Vast Furniture is not liable for any loss of income, profit, contracts, data, mental distress, or for any indirect or consequential loss or damage of any kind, whether arising from tort, breach of contract, or otherwise. Our maximum aggregate liability for any product or service supplied, whether in tort, contract, or otherwise, is limited to the total amount paid for that product.
